On world renowned Playa Hermosa in Jacó, Costa Rica.

Without exception, everyone who has rented and stayed at casa savannah has been more than pleased with what it had to offer.

Awesome Home! A few friends and I went down to Jaco for a week long fishing / surfing / diving trip. This was the absolute PERFECT place to stay!! The master bedroom was HUGE!! A stones throw from the beach, wonderful pool, and only 8-10 minutes from downtown Jaco. Not only was the house perfect, but the property manager was so helpful!! She was just a phone call away for anything we needed. Hopefully we'll be back to Hermosa Palms in the near future.

Recently our family of 8 spent two weeks at this beautiful home. The home was equipped with everything we could possibly ask for and everything was immaculate. It was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The kids, ages 19, 17, 13 & 11 lived in the pool and the ocean which was conveniently located just a short walk from the house. This is our first experience renting a home, but a stay at even a deluxe hotel pales in comparison.

We didn't eat out often as we purchased fresh seafood (lobster and huge shrimp) as well as pastry, from vendors in the community. We ate like kings. We did eat twice at Jaco Taco and once at Pancho Villa's and enjoyed the service and the food at both places. We don't surf, but saw several groups of young surfers come and go throughout the two weeks, so the surfing must have been exceptional. We did make it down to Manual Antonio NP and enjoyed our visit there. Also, the Rain Forest Tram and Zip Line experience was a highlight. We had planned do to more sightseeing, but found it hard to leave this paradise.

Both the owner and our contact at the house were extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this home away from home.

It's perfect from the moment you walk in the door and see the grand entrance to the last thing at night when you can curl up in the comfy arm chairs or the king bed in the master suite and watch TV on a big screen and the stunning sunset through a wall of windows. Then there's the endless lava beach with its curling surf; the incredible sinking sun; the relaxing massages on the beach. Civilization is close enough that pizza can be delivered, but far enough that you can see the stars and hear the geckos. We'll be back...

I wanted to thank you again for our wonderful stay at your place in Hermosa Palms. We have stayed at several other places in the Hermosa Palms community over the past 4 years and our stay at your home was by far the best! Everything from the enormous master suite to the wide open living area as well as the high end furnishings were perfect. We look forward to staying at your place again very soon.

The villa is larger than the pictures portray. I tried to photograph the inside, but couldn't find a shot that gave the proper depth perspective. Anyway, it's smartly decorated and follows the exotic, sunny, breezy, tropical themes that are consistent with the whole neighborhood. The master bedroom is huge and furnished well enough to entertain a small party complete with a Bose Wave Radio/CD player. I was able to watch the playoffs from the living room thanks to the satellite TV. All the rooms have the necessary creature comforts, including remote controlled air conditioning. There are 3 different patio areas. The shed on the side of the house has a washer/dryer, a gas grill, lawn chairs, a small cooler and 2 body boards. The house itself is just a stone's throw away from the chocolate sand beach with waves that break well enough to attract surfers from around the globe. And much of the community is filled with experienced surfers.

The villa is located in the Hermosa Palms enclave. The Hermosa Palms community is a gated one about 15 minutes outside of the town of Jaco. A car is recommended but not a must. Cabs are easily accessible. If you're interested in sight seeing, Manuel Antonio is just 45 minutes away. Jaco is a quaint town and has its share of nightlife and daytime excursions. You can hear anything from classic rock to hip hop. You can rent ATV's, scooters, surf boards, etc. There's a variety of cuisine from local to fast food. There are also supermarkets in town if you want to take advantage of the full kitchen.

Easily the most impressive thing about Jaco is the beach. The seascapes are awe inspiring and would be ideal whether you were a painter, writer, or surfer. All would do well there. The location is about 10 degrees above the equator so day and night are almost 12 hours exactly. The water is warm and foamy. The water colors are range deep blue to bright green. The forests are a play of dozens of different greens, with splashes of yellow here and orange there. The only thing bad about my trip is that it had to end, but my vacation time is accruing as we speak. I'll be back. Pura Vida!!!

Thank you very much for the rental of your house and the local details. We felt like Rock Stars in it and it was a perfect size for the two families. The house, pool, beach and surrounding area really lived up to the descriptions. We had a great time. Kids (and parents) had a great time zip lining above the forest canopy, taking surfing lessons, white water rafting, horseback riding, seeing new creatures, and eating lots of fish and fruit. My favourite part was playing with the kids in the warm ocean with huge waves (as you probably know, the world surfing championships were on your beach three months earlier). We also released baby turtles into the ocean which was another highlight.
